Player(s) of the Week:
Big Oil:
RB   Jeff Garcia  42.2Beachtown Bobos
Big Cattle:
RB  Ricky Williams, 31.0 Hostile Amish

Notable:

- 13-1Record  ... PowerWave completes terrific season with frisky 13-1 ledger.  Yet another league record!
+ PowerWave started the season ranked #1 and held that ranking for all 14 weeks.  Wow!
-
Welcome...... The Purple Pecans and WN Cheeseheads showed up and claimed their spot in the playoffs.
-
W4  Streak..... Thunder Ducks finish season on high note.

 -
Adios.......... The Thunder Ducks and Hostile Amish were in the final four last year.  Not this year.
 - L8 Streak  ... Bobos fight the good fight but neither RB Bettis or RB Hearst finish game as Bobos come up just short.
 -
L2 Streak  ... Critical Mass drops last two to finish out of the money.
 -
L2 Streak  ... BigV stumbles to the finish line with L2 streak.

                 ChiliBowl Previews

vs.

#4 We're No Cheeseheads (8-6) at  #1 PowerWave (11-3)

PowerWave:
PowerWave set numerous league records en route to a stellar 13-1 overall record and enter the playoffs as the clear number one seedPowerWave features a devastating running game powered by Priest Holmes, Deuce McAllister and Tiki Barber.  The rest of the line-up is pretty nice too with Tom Brady at QB, a competent receiving corps and the stout Philly defense.
Notable:
PowerWave's only loss was to the WN Cheesehead squad........

 vs. BigV, Purple Pecans, WNC:             3-1   .750  PF  460.3    PA   358.6  |   A-PF   115.1    A-PA  89.7

WN Cheeseheads:  WNC is in the finals bracket for the first time.  The team had an up/down season but is very capable and very dangerous behind the likes of Peyton Manning, Jamal Lewis, Randy Moss and Jeremy Shockey.   The WNC achilles heel this season has been their #2 RB slot but a late season move to acquire RB William Green has proven to be a good move so far.
Notable: #4 seed PowerWave stunned #1 Thunder Ducks last year.  Can WNC replicate the magic?

vs. BigV, Purple Pecans, 'Wave:             1-3   .250  PF  369.4    PA   453.8  |   A-PF   92.4    A-PA  113.5

Season Series:
  Week  11:    WN Cheeseheads   94.8    PowerWave   72.1

vs.

#3 Purple Pecans (8-6) at  #2 BigV (8-6)

Purple Pecans:
The Pecans closed the season with two straight W's, and went 5-2 in the second half of the season, to clinch the #3 seed in the playoffs.   The Pecans 'get up' for  Big-Four opponents as evidenced by their nifty 121.8 ppg average against the playoff teams.   This talented lineup features a terrific RB tandem in Fred Taylor and LaDanian Tomlinson but it is also team that has to deal with a QB controversy (Favre/Bledsoe).   If this team is on....watch out!
Notable: Dusted Big Cattle champ (BigV) twice this season.   Got dusted by Big Oil champ (PowerWave) twice this season.

 vs.  BigV, PowerWave, WNC:            3-2   .600  PF  609.1    PA   607.0  |   A-PF   121.8    A-PA  121.4

BigV:  Big was in cruise control until the loss of star QB Donovan McNabb.  It's been a bit of a struggle for the defending champ & now he has to face his arch-nemesis of the season in round one of the playoffs.    BigV will need his superior depth to payoff  as McNabb is out for the season and Marshall Faulk has been limping around lately.   Still.....with Eddie George and Charlie Garner carrying the load....anything can happen.
Notable:

BigV won the title from the #2 seed last year.  As a matter of fact....all Texas League titles have been won by the #2 seed so......

vs.  WNC, PowerWave, Pecans:             2-3   .400  PF  544.0    PA   563.5  |   A-PF   108.8    A-PA  112.7

Season Series:  Week  2:    Purple Pecans   136.8     BigV   134.2
                                    Week 10:   Purple Pecans   155.7    BigV     80.9
