Rising rallies to win hoops title Red Storm had to rally and then hold on for dear life to complete a stellar basketball campaign that cumulated with all of the regular season hardware and the ever important playoff ring. Reigning champ PowerWave, lead by the talented combo of Kevin Garnett and Shawn Marion, fought tooth and nail to defend the crown as they knocked off a hot Lethal Lobster team, then shocked powerful BigV with a last minute comeback and played great hoops in the final only to fall in the last quarter of the last day of the last game in the season. PF Antawn Jamison was key to both the frantic semi-final rally against the determined Reckless Drivers and to the championship W this week and was named team MVP. Red Storm completes a 4-0 season sweep, avenges last years loss in the title game and also ends a 0-3 playoff streak, including two title losses (Hoops 2001, Baseball 2002) with the hard earned victory over the well managed PowerWave team.
