Week 22 Recap

SOW:   Pilots

Wow, what a regular season.  Close match-ups, drama to the last drop………..I hope y’all had fun as we head into the playoffs.  As you know, six lucky teams qualified for the league championship.  Play begins immediately with the Pilots vs. the Ball Whackers and PowerWave vs. the Beachtown Bobos.   League leader BigV and the runner-up Raging Trout gain byes for the first round of action.

There is also a playoff to determine 7-12th place.   Then again…..there is also Fantasy Football starting next weekend.

The regular season awards are in so….drumroll please……..

League Lead:   *** BigV *** captures the Regular Season Title with a sparkly 287-219-66 (.559) mark.  BigV also held the top spot for 10 consecutive weeks…an on-gong record!  Great job BigV !

Al Gore Award:  PowerWave put an exclamation point on his Al Gore Award by posting a shiny 14-4-4  (.727) mark.   A tip of the cap to PowerWave who, like Al Davis, instills a ‘Just win’ attitude in his team.

Stud-Of-The Year:  We have a tie for this prestigious award here going to the Raging Trout and the Pilots.  A tie seems appropriate here as the Trout were the hottest team in the first half of the season while the Pilots flew higher than the rest in the second half of the season.  A job well done to both teams.

Stud-Of-The Week:  The Pilots put in this weeks studly performance with a 15-5-6 W over the Gladiators.  The victory allowed the Pilots to capture a  share of the Stud-Of-The-Year award and also eliminated the Glad’s from a top six finish..

Where’s My Mojo?
Mucho Mojo:   The Pilots are 7-0-2 (.889) over their last nine games. The Bedford Beerswillers have won four straight.  PowerWave has won two straight.

Missing Mojo:  The NRH Winners lost their sixth straight (and 13 of 14).  BigV is 0-4-2 over his last six games.  The Gladiators went 0-3-1 over their last four to drop from 6th to 9th.
